Lejos de la deriva urbana situacionista y la contemplación, la artista recorre la ciudad profundizando su investigación, creando cuadernos de bitácoras, guía de semanas de recorridos en la Ciudad de México y su zona conurbada; problematiza el fenómeno y lo formaliza en tres diferentes medios sin perder la impronta de la fotografía. El tapete, realizado en colaboración con el maestro Román Gutiérrez Ruíz, resulta el itinerario de una semana de estos recorridos y nos retorna a la complejidad de los trayectos impuestos por la urbe y la relación histórica panorama, geografía, mapa y libro de viaje, una manera que la artista ocupa para comprender la espacialidad del fenómeno que investiga. La serie de serigrafías contribuye profundizando en los detalles de algunos puntos extremadamente complejos de estos recorridos; se trata de constelaciones tomadas de estas bitácoras, regresando a la narración de Poe, se pueden seguir los pasos de la artista, ir y venir, intentando encontrar una salida. La serie de siligrafías es, de todo el conjunto, la que con mayor transparencia guarda un vínculo primigenio con la fotografía; por lo pronto se trata de esos juegos sustraídos de un paisaje que originalmente incluía más elementos, lo que vemos es la “realidad” tamizada por el ojo de la artista, son las huellas visibles de un problema.

Far from Situationist urban drift and contemplation, the artist traverses the city, deepening her research by creating logbooks that guide weeks of journeys through Mexico City and its metropolitan area. She problematizes the phenomenon and formalizes it across three different media without losing the imprint of photography. The rug, created in collaboration with master Román Gutiérrez Ruíz, becomes the itinerary of one week of these journeys and returns us to the complexity of the routes imposed by the metropolis and to the historical relationship between panorama, geography, map, and travel book—a method the artist employs to understand the spatiality of the phenomenon she investigates. The series of serigraphs contributes by delving into the details of some extremely complex points along these routes; they are constellations drawn from these logbooks, returning to Poe’s narrative, allowing one to follow the artist’s steps, back and forth, in an attempt to find a way out. The series of siligraphs is, of the entire body of work, the one that most transparently maintains a primordial link to photography; for now, it consists of those playgrounds extracted from a landscape that originally included more elements. What we see is “reality” filtered through the artist’s eye—visible traces of a problem.
