Paola Dávila (Oaxaca, México. 1980) cuenta con 13 exposiciones individuales y más de 40 exposiciones colectivas tanto en México como el extranjero. En el 2002 recibió el Premio Nacional de Fotografía de la Bienal de Artes Visuales de Yucatán, el Premio de Adquisición del Cuarto Concurso Arte Libertad y la beca estatal Jóvenes Creadores PECDA por el estado de Oaxaca. Fue becaria del programa de la Secretaría de Cultura del Gobierno de la Ciudad de México Artes por Todas Partes en 2002 y en 2005. En el 2009 recibió Mención Honorífica en La Feria Internacional de Libros de Artista organizada por el Centro de la Imagen, así como la Beca de Intercambios y Residencias Artísticas, FONCA-BANFF. Durante el 2010 recibió la Beca Tierney otorgada por la Fundación Tierney de Nueva York para realizar el proyecto Temporales Interiores. Ha sido beneficiaria del Programa Jóvenes Creadores, FONCA en 2003, 2006 y 2011. En 2014 recibe la Beca de Intercambios y Residencias Artísticas, FONCA-Land Salzburg de Austria, gracias a la cual desarrolló el proyecto Schrebergarten.
En 2019 obtuvo el grado de Maestría en Artes Visuales por la UNAM con Mención Honorífica. En el 2021 obtiene el premio de adquisición en la XIX Bienal Nacional de Fotografía, organizada por el Centro de la Imagen. Desde el 2020 es miembro del Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte, FONCA, CONACULTA.
Su obra forma parte de la colección del MUAC, la EPO Foundation de Múnich, Alemania, la Tierney Foundation de Nueva York, el Museo Universitario del Chopo, la Fototeca Nacional del INAH y el Centro Fotográfico Manuel Álvarez Bravo, entre otros.

Paola Davila (Oaxaca, Mexico, 1980) has had thirteen solo exhibitions, and more than forty group exhibitions in Mexico and abroad. In 2002, she received the National Photography Award at the Visual Arts Biennial of Yucatan, and the Acquisition Award at the Fourth Arte Libertad Competition. She was awarded the Foreign Residencies Grant Program by FONCA and the BANFF Centre of Canada in 2009. In 2010, she received the Tierney Fellowship granted by the Tierney Foundation of New York to carry out the project 'Temporal Interiors.
She has been awarded the National Young Artists Grant Program, by FONCA in 2003, 2006 and 2011. In 2014 she did a residency in Austria thanks to the Foreign Residencies Program by FONCA and the Land-Salzburg Künstlerhaus. In 2017 her project Schrebergarten was selected for the International Discoveries VI, curated by FOTOFEST. In 2019 she obtained her MFA (UNAM) with Honorable Mention. She received the Acquisition Award at the XIX National Photography Biennial, organized by Centro de la Imagen, in 2020.
Her work is part of several collections such as MUAC, EPO Foundation of Munich, Germany, Tierney Foundation of New York, the Museo Universitario del Chopo, the Fototeca Nacional of the INAH and the Manuel Álvarez Bravo Photographic Center. This body of work has been reviewed in numerous art books and publications. Since 2020 she has been a member of the National System of Art Creators, FONCA, CONACULTA. She lives and works in Mexico City, where she lectures at Centro University and Centro ADM.
