Cianotipia sobre papel de algodón
Mareas es un proyecto que cuestiona al paisaje como sujeto fotografiado y propone al paisaje como activador de la pieza. Durante este proceso, la artista se sumergió en el estudio de la cianotipia, investigando a fondo los límites de esta técnica fotográfica. Comenzó a cuestionar las fronteras tradicionales del proceso, enfocándose en el papel central del agua, el único agente necesario para desarrollar la imagen. En Mareas se trabaja con un papel fotosensible emulsionado de cianotipia que es puesto directamente sobre el oleaje. El agua salada, con sus propiedades minerales, revela y fija el soporte, transformando el paisaje en un laboratorio y en el motivo de la obra.
Cada pieza de esta serie está titulada con la ubicación geográfica precisa donde fue creada, así como con el número de olas que interactuaron con el papel durante la exposición a los rayos del sol.

Tides is a project that challenges the notion of the landscape as a photographed subject and instead proposes the landscape as an activator of the artwork. During this process, the artist delved into the study of cyanotype, thoroughly investigating the limits of this photographic technique. She began to question the traditional boundaries of the process, focusing on the central role of water, the only agent needed to develop the image. In Tides, the photosensitive paper coated with cyanotype emulsion is placed directly on the waves. The saline water, with its mineral properties, reveals and fixes the image, transforming the landscape into a photo-lab and the subject of the artwork.
Each piece in this series is titled with the geographic location where it was created and the number of waves that interacted with the paper during its exposure to sunlight.
